Raising children is the most important and most challenging work there is! I've worked with children and parents for over 20 years. I've helped parents define their family vision and translate that vision into doable routines and boundaries that communicate love, security, and respect to their children. As a practicing school psychologist, I am also uniquely qualified to support parents as they navigate the special education process with their children.

About Me
Why Coach?
As a friend said recently, I was born to coach. It really is what I've always done! Before life coaching came on the scene, I was just "friending" people through difficult times. Then I got some training and experience and Life Coaching was born. It's a natural fit! There's nothing that feeds my soul more than helping others find and achieve their own brand of success. Be it parents' wanting what's best for their children, youth finding their sense of agency or young adults searching for their own path.
Personal Details
I grew up in a small rural town in Southwest Ohio the youngest of three daughters. I attended Wittenberg University, worked in Psychiatry as a clinical research assistant, married a wonderful guy and then went to graduate school at the University of Cincinnati. I ALMOST finished a Ph.D. but had my first daughter instead and she was way more fun to play with then writing up my dissertation. Eight years later I had my youngest daughter and another 8 years later I began my Coach training and practice. My oldest daughter loves basketball and attends college in Colorado. My youngest is a social butterfly who loves all animals and musical theater. My husband, youngest and myself continue to live in the Cincinnati area and share our digs with 3 dogs, a disgruntled cat, a guinea pig, and a bunny named "Bud".
Fun Facts
1: As a kid I had a pet duck that I won from a county fair. Donald was actually a Donna who grew up to be 4-H Grand Champion Duck! She used to sit on my lap and give me awkward duck kisses.
2: Like my daughter, I love horses. I grew up riding and showing horses well into my early thirties. I'm enjoying watching my 11 year old learn to ride and volunteer at a local barn.
3. I love being outside and especially love creek-hiking and kayaking. My dragonfly logo is reflective of my passion for time on the water. One of my earliest memories is of me watching dragonflies around a small pond on my Grandmother's farm.
4. Along with my love for nature comes my love for MUD! I recently began throwing clay and I'm flooding my friends and family with new ceramic pieces. Theres nothing more relaxing to me than working with clay!
